Read MoreJiřina Hofmanová is a doctoral student at the Department of Theatre Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. Her main focus is the Czech theatre after WWII. She is currently writing her dissertation entitled Staging Chekhov at a Time of Normalization. She is also involved in theatre, reviewing since 2011. She has written for Czech and Slovak online and printed media (Literary News, Theatre News, Concretely About Theatre Etc). She was part of several festival magazines and she was also an editor-in-chief in some cases. One of the most meaningful experiences for her was when she was part of an international jury at the student theatre festival SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER 2018 because of the constructive and democratic dialogue and sharing of experiences. Her biggest achievement has been to be an executive editor of another theatre reviewing website, Rozrazilonline, then shutting it down and creating a new one in cooperation with a colleague name, KriTh. The site was successfully passed on to the next generation in September 2018.
